KARACHI: The Establishment Division (Cabinet Secretariat) has initiated the Central Selection Board (CSB) meetings to consider the promotions of Civil Servants of Pakistan (CSPs). A meeting of the CSB was held on Monday, however no decision was taken.
The Establishment Division had earlier notified that CSB meetings to consider the promotions of BS-19 officers into BS-20 and BS-20 officers into BS-21 of all services, groups and ex-cadre posts will be held from November 26 to November 30, 2018.
After the round of CSB meetings is completed and officers are promoted, there will be large scale transfers and postings across the civilian bureaucracy.
It may be mentioned here that a large number of officers in Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), particularly in Pakistan Customs Service (PCS) are sitting on their posts since very long, and a major reshuffling in Customs is expected.
