KARACHI: The Collectorate of Customs Appraisement (East) has issued a new distribution of work among its Deputy and Assistant Collectors, according to an office order dated Sept. 11.
Office Order No. 35/2026, issued by Additional Collector-HQ Muhammad Nauman Tashfeen with the approval of the Collector, assigns duties to seven officers “with immediate effect and till further order.”
Deputy Collector Hameer Khan will oversee Headquarters, Group-V, Research & Development & Intelligence & Prevention (R&D&I&P), Revenue Analysis, the Contributory Provident Fund, the Complaint Management System, correspondence with other departments, the Transport Section, User-ID matters, Pre-Refund Audit and Post Release Verification.
Deputy Collector Saba Ali was assigned Group IV and VI, the Law Section, Bank Guarantee matters, refunds including the printing of cheques, the Classification Committee, adjudication at the Assistant Collector/Deputy Collector level, the Laboratory, the FTA Cell and Post Release Verification.
Assistant Collector Zoya Tariq will handle Group VII and VIII, MIS-I, internal and external audit, the Unified Assessment Bond (UAB) and Post Release Verification.
Assistant Collector Muhammad Arsalan Mughal was given Group III, Warehousing, the PM Portal and Post Release Verification.
Assistant Collector (Probationary) Shahar Yar Ahmed will oversee Group I and II, MIS-II, the Unassessed Transaction (UAT) system, One Customs, the FTO Cell, licensing, the Recovery Cell and Post Release Verification.
Assistant Collector (Probationary) Hassan Abid was assigned examination and auction duties at East Wharf, KGTL/KGTML, Pak Shaheen, Seaboard Logistics Off-Dock Terminals, Timber Pond, movement and auction of idling containers at Northern Bypass Logistics (Pvt) Ltd, safe transportation, MCD, container scanning at East Wharf, KGTL, NLCCT and NLC Off-Dock Terminal, inter-port movement, the Oil Section, Keamari and related matters.
Assistant Collector (Probationary) Hadiqa Mahboob will handle examination and auction, NLCCT, the NLC Off-Dock Terminal and related matters.
