KARACHI: All Pakistan Customs Agents Association (APCAA) and Karachi Customs Agents Association (KCAA) lock horns on the issue of representation. APCCA’s Vice Chairman Hasan Shaikh Vohra has written a letter to President of KCAA advising the KCAA to act strictly in line with the order passed by High Court of Sindh in a petition filed by APCAA.
The letter by VP, APCAA also advised the KCCA to “deal with the matter strictly in accordance with operative portion of order of Honorable Court” containing directions to Directorate General of Trade Organization (DGTO) without making any interpretation beyond what has actually ordered by the Court (High Court of Sindh).
It is worth mentioning that KCAA in a separate constitution petition has challenged the Notices issued by DGTO under Trade Organization Act 2013 on ground of jurisdiction. The said notice has asked the KCAA to cease the use of word Association forthwith.
