KARACHI: A Special Customs Reference Application 628 of 2022 was disposed of by a custom appellate bench of High Court of Sindh after Counsel for Pakistan Customs (DIT) Khalid Mehmood Rajpar relied on a recent judgment passed by Supreme Court of Pakistan.
The controversy pertains to release of vehicles used in smuggling for more than once. Khalid Mehmood Rajpar relying on a judgment passed on 9.4.2026 and prayed for application of the same mutatis mutandis submitting that the issue has been decided conclusively by the apex court in favor of the department.
The bench after a brief hearing allowed the prayer and disposed of the SCRA ordering application of said order mutatis mutandis.
