ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue on Wednesday suspended two officers from the Collectorate of Customs (Airports) in Karachi pending disciplinary proceedings, according to an official notification.
Superintendent Aijaz Ali Khoso and Preventive Officer Sanah Ghous were placed under immediate suspension under Rule 5(1) of the Civil Servants (E&D) Rules, 2020. The suspension will remain in effect until the conclusion of disciplinary proceedings against them, the Revenue Division said.
The notification, issued by the FBR’s Second Secretary for M/HR.C-I, did not specify the nature of the allegations against the officers.
Copies of the suspension order were sent to senior FBR officials, including the Members of Administration-HR and Customs-Operations, the Chief Collector of Customs (Airports) in Islamabad, and the Collector of Customs (Airports) in Karachi.
The AGPR Office in Karachi and the officers’ personal files also received the notice.
