QUETTA: The Directorate of Transit Trade in Quetta has issued a final notice to 16 bonded carrier companies, warning them to move and re‑export their stranded consignments within three days or face strict action, including blacklisting.
In a notice dated April 28, 2026, the directorate said the carriers have repeatedly ignored earlier instructions from the Ministry of Commerce, the Customs Board, and transit trade authorities in Karachi and Quetta.
“Despite several notices and instructions, you have failed to move and re‑export your consignments,” the notice states.
The companies have now been ordered to report to designated premises within three days of receiving the notice. Officials warned that failure to comply will lead to action under the Customs Rules, 2001, which could include blacklisting of unmoved vehicles.
Copies of the notice have also been sent to customs officials in Karachi and Gwadar, the Deputy Commissioner in Chaman, traders’ associations, and tracking companies to ensure vigilance and facilitate compliance.
The stranded cargo is linked to transit trade destined for Afghanistan, and authorities have been pushing for its timely re‑export.
