KARACHI: A custom appellate bench of High Court of Sindh admitted a Special Customs Reference Application No 46 of 2026 filed by Collector of Customs (Enforcement) Karachi against Yar Muhammad and another and ordered issuance of notices to respondents for May 04.
The bench earlier heard Sardar Zafar Hussain Advocate, counsel for applicant department who raised the issue of limitation formulating following question of law:
Whether on the facts and circumstances of the case, the learned Member Judicial of the Customs Appellate Tribunal, Karachi has failed to take into account that the time of limitation starts from the date of the knowledge of the applicant?.
The bench after a brief hearing ordered notices while admitting the reference. The bench also suspended the judgment in Customs Appeal No K-190 of 2025.
