KARACHI: A Special Customs Reference Application No 158 of 2025 filed by Collector of Customs, Enforcement, Karachi against Rohi Muhammad and another was admitted by a customs appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Agha Faisal and Justice Jan Ali Junejo.

Sardar Zafar Hussain Advocate appearing for the applicant department argued that impugned judgment is devoid of any independent deliberation or reasoning and cannot be considered a speaking order. He further submitted that while hearing the list the Tribunal has rendered the judgment in a perfunctory manner and the same is not befitting the last fact finding forum in the statutory hierarchy.

The bench after a brief hearing admitted the reference while ordering issuance of notices to the respondents for May 04. In the mean while impugned judgment in Custom Appeal No K0632 of 2025 was suspended.
