KARACHI: Around eighty retired customs officers came together for a heartfelt Eid Milan get-together on Saturday evening. The event was hosted by the Ex-Officers of Customs Club at Al-Hirra Banquet, near Nursery.
The gathering brought together former colleagues in a warm, festive atmosphere. Notable attendees included Mr. Agha Shahid Majeed Khan, Ex-Member of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR); Mr. Muhammad Abbass, Ex-Deputy Collector of Customs; Mr. Muhammad Munir, Ex-Assistant Collector; and Mr. Muhammad Haris Khan, a former first-class cricketer and international cricket coach.
The event was organized by a team of retired Pakistan Customs officers: Mr. Muhabat Hussain Awan, Mr. Nafees Uddin Qureshi, Mr. Noor Elahi Khan, Ch. Muhammad Asghar, Mr. Azhar Abbas, Mr. Waheed Ashraf, and Mr. Munawar Ali.
The evening began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a Dua-e-Maghfirat (prayer for forgiveness) for the departed souls of the Pakistan Customs family. Several former officers then shared their thoughts, strongly emphasizing the urgent need to address the challenges faced by retired customs officers—both at private and official levels.
The event ended with a delicious dinner for all guests. The organizers expressed their sincere thanks to everyone who attended, noting that their gracious presence made the evening a great success.
