KARACHI: A constitutional bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Yousuf Ali Sayeed and Justice Muhammad Osman Ali Hadi disposed of a petition No D-5255 filed by one Sher Afgan Malik through Zain Jatoi Advocate after counsel for Pakistan Customs, Sardar Zafar Hussain Advocate held out an assurance of no further action.
Appearing for respondent Pakistan Customs Sardar Zafar at the outset of hearing submitted that in view of order dated 23.05.2025 made in another CP No D-1258/2024, the department will proceed accordingly and will pass a speaking order determining the liability of the petitioner if any in relation to M/s EDF Services (Pvt) Ltd prior to taking any further action towards effecting recovery.
The bench after this statement observed that in such circumstances, it appears that the petition has served it is purpose. The bench then disposed off the petition accordingly.
