Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced a large-scale reshuffle in the Pakistan Customs Service, transferring and posting 39 officers from BS-17 to BS-20 with immediate effect. The notification, issued under No. 0135-C-I/2026, reflects a significant reorganization aimed at strengthening customs operations across the country.

 

Key Appointments

– Mr. Imran Ahmad Ch. (BS-20), Director of the Customs Academy of Pakistan, Islamabad, has been given the additional charge of Director, Directorate General of Law & Prosecution, Islamabad.  

– Mr. Asif Abbas (BS-20) moves from FBR Headquarters to become Collector, Collectorate of Customs (Appeals), Lahore.  

– Mr. Amjad-ur-Rahman (BS-20), previously Director of Customs Valuation, Lahore, has been posted as Chief, FBR HQ, Islamabad.  

– Ms. Saima Aftab (BS-20), earlier Chief at FBR HQ, Islamabad, will now serve as Director, Customs Valuation, Lahore.  

– Mr. Ghulam Mustafa (BS-20) takes charge as Collector, Customs Appraisement, Peshawar, with an additional charge of Customs Appraisement, Kohat.  

– Mr. Muteen Alam (BS-20) has been transferred from Karachi to become Director, Directorate of Intelligence, Karachi.  

– Mr. Javed Sarwar Sheikh (BS-20), formerly Director of Law & Prosecution, Islamabad, has been posted as Collector, Customs (Adjudication-II), Karachi.

 

Mid-Level Transfers

Several BS-19 officers have also been reassigned:

– Ms. Saleha Zakir Shah becomes Secretary, FBR HQ, Islamabad.  

– Ms. Khansa Mahmood Chaudhry is posted as Additional Collector, Customs (Adjudication), Islamabad, while retaining additional charge of Customs Academy of Pakistan.  

– Mr. Junaid Mahmood moves to Secretary, FBR HQ, Islamabad.  

– Mr. Shahzad Liaqat Ranjha shifts to Additional Collector, Customs (Adjudication), Faisalabad.  

 

Junior Officers

Among BS-17 and BS-18 officers:

– Ms. Hira Khan (BS-18) has been posted as Second Secretary, Transformation Delivery Unit, FBR HQ, Islamabad.  

– Ms. Anum Imtiaz (BS-17) becomes Assistant Collector, Customs Enforcement, Peshawar.  

– Mr. Javed Jaffar (BS-17) moves to Assistant Collector, Customs Appraisement (West), Lahore.  

– Officers posted on OPS (Own Pay Scale) will continue to exercise powers of the higher post under Section 5(2) of the Customs Act, 1969.  

– Performance allowance will remain applicable at new postings, except for those transferred to FBR Headquarters, Islamabad.  

– The earlier additional charge of Collector (Adjudication), Faisalabad assigned to Mr. Usman Tariq has been withdrawn.  

The notification was signed by Pirzada Muhammad Omar Qasmi, Secretary (M/HR.C-I/II), and circulated to all concerned departments for immediate compliance.
