The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$ 19,612.2 million as of 5-Dec-2025. The break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under:

i) Foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan: US$ 14,586.5 million

ii) Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks : US$ 5,025.7 million

iii) Total liquid foreign reserves : US$ 19,612.2 million

During the week ended on 5-Dec-2025, SBP’s FX reserves increased by US$ 12 million to US$ 14,586.5 million.

SBP has also received SDR 914 million (equivalent to about US$ 1.2 billion) from IMF under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) and Resilience and Sustainability Facility (RSF) in the current week. This amount will be reflected in SBP’s foreign exchange reserves for the week ending on 12-Dec-2025.
