Karachi: In a major facilitation step for the clearing community, the Karachi Customs Agents Association (KCAA) has announced that payment counter timings at all off-dock terminals under the jurisdiction of the Collectorate of Customs Appraisement (West) have been officially extended until 9:00 PM.

The decision follows a formal request submitted by KCAA (Letter No.135/2025-2026 dated November 22), which was swiftly acted upon by the Collectorate. The extension was communicated to terminals through Letter No. SI/Misc/02/2025 dated November 26, ensuring strict compliance across the board.

KCAA General Secretary Sheikh Waqas Anjum expressed gratitude to the Collectorate for its “unwavering cooperation and commitment to streamlining operational procedures.” He noted that the extended timings would significantly ease the clearance process for customs agents, reducing delays and improving efficiency in handling consignments.

“This measure reflects the Collectorate’s responsiveness to the needs of the trade community and will directly benefit agents working late hours to expedite cargo clearance,” Anjum said.

The Association has advised its members to make full use of the extended facility to ensure smoother operations and timely clearance of goods from the concerned off-dock terminals.
