ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued orders for the transfer and posting of a senior customs officer in a significant administrative move.
According to an official notification released today, Syed Irshad Ali Shah, a Principal Appraiser (BS-17) currently posted with the FBR Headquarters in Islamabad, has been transferred to Karachi with immediate effect.
Mr. Shah has been appointed as Principal Appraiser at the Directorate of Law & Prosecution in Karachi. The notification states that the officer will draw his pay and allowances against a vacant post available at the Directorate General of Customs Valuation, Karachi.
The FBR has also clarified that if the officer is already receiving a performance allowance, he will continue to do so at his new place of posting. Mr. Shah has been directed to immediately submit his charge relinquishment and assumption reports to the FBR headquarters for official record and further necessary action.
The order, signed by Second Secretary Zakir Hussain, underscores the FBR’s ongoing reshuffle of senior personnel within the Revenue Division. Such postings are closely watched by the business community and are part of the board’s strategy to streamline operations and strengthen key field formations.
