KARACHI: A divisional bench of High Court of Sindh comprising Justice Agha Faisal and Justice Muhammad Usman Ali Hadi admitted a Special Customs Reference Application (SCRA) filed by Pakistan Customs (Valuation) against Ashraf Traders, Karachi. The bench ordered its office to fix the case after four weeks.
The bench heard Sardar Zafar Hussain Advocate appearing for the applicant department who pressed Question of Law whether the learned Appellate Tribunal misapprehended the Section 25 and 25 A of the Customs Act 1969 and failed to appreciate that the Valuation Ruling No 1252/2018 dated 25.01.2018 was issued strictly in accordance with law by following proper method and after considering the inputs provided by the stakeholders including importers and trade bodies along with analyzing clearance data, market information and international prices during the meeting held on 1501.2018.
The bench after hearing initial arguments ordered issuance of notices to all respondents directing its office to fix the SCRA for hearing after four weeks.
