KARACHI: In a significant administrative move, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced the immediate transfer and posting of five senior officers from the Pakistan Customs Service (BS-19 and BS-20), reshaping key positions across Karachi, Hyderabad, Gadani, and Islamabad.

According to Notification No. 2267-C-I/2025 issued by the Revenue Division, the following changes have been made:

Mr. Naveed Illahi (BS-20) has been appointed as Chief at FBR Headquarters, Islamabad, replacing his role as Collector at Customs Appraisement (West), Karachi.

Dr. Nasir Khan (BS-19) moves from Collector (OPS) at Customs Enforcement, Gadani to the same role in Hyderabad.

Syed Fazal Samad (BS-19) shifts from Chief (OPS) at FBR HQ to Collector (OPS) at Customs Enforcement, Gadani.

Ms. Mona Mehfooz (BS-19) transitions from Collector (OPS) in Hyderabad to Collector (OPS) at Customs Appraisement (West), Karachi.

Mr. Naveed-ur-Rehman (BS-19), previously Secretary at FBR HQ, Islamabad, is now Additional Collector at Collector HQs-Enforcement, Islamabad.

The notification also clarifies that officers currently receiving performance allowances will continue to do so at their new postings—except those assigned to FBR Headquarters.

All officers have been directed to submit charge relinquishment and assumption reports to FBR immediately for record and further action.

The reshuffle, signed by Secretary (M/HR.C-I) Muhammad Moazzam Raza, reflects FBR’s ongoing efforts to optimize operational efficiency and strengthen enforcement across key customs zones.
