KARACHI: A constitutional petition filed by Glacier International and others through attorney was disposed of by a divisional bench of High Court of Sindh subject to payment of undisputed amount of duty and taxes with the customs department and of disputed amount with the Nazir of Sindh High Court.

The bench earlier heard Aneel Zia advocate, counsel for petitioner who submitted that petitioner has preferred an appeal before the Collector of Appeals against assessment order dated 12.08.2025 which is still pending.

The counsel submitted that since consignment is incurring risk of diminution and storage charges at the port, petitioner is ready to deposit the un-disputed quantum of duties and taxes with the Collectorate concerned and ready to secure the disputed amount before the Nazir of the High Court.

The bench allowed the request ordering that the fate of amount secured with Nazir shall be subject to outcome of appeal pending before the Collector of Appeals, Pakistan Customs.

The bench also ordered forthwith release of goods once amounts are deposited and secured.
