KARACHI: Hearing a number of petitions filed against issuance of summons by Commissioner Inland Revenue under section 37 of the Sales Tax Act 1990 requiring of Petitioners to attend the office of the concerned Assistant Commissioner, an appellate bench of High Court of Sindh has restrained the officials from any proceedings in F.I.R registered against the petitioner till Supreme Court of Pakistan comes up with a detailed reasons, respondents shall show restraint against the petitioner.
The bench also ordered for a response from the Chairman FBR through Member Inland Revenue. The bench also ordered issuance of notices to all Additional Attorney General at Karachi for compliance.
The bench fixed May 27 for further hearing while ordering that interim orders passed earlier shall continue.
