KARACHI: Deciding a Special Custom Reference Application No 373 of 2020 filed by Pakistan Customs (Appraisement) against Anwar Hardware and Custom Appellate Tribunal Karachi, a custom appellate bench of High Court of Sindh referred the matter to Classification Committee of the Department.
The bench earlier heard Ms Afsheen Aman Advocate, counsel for the applicant department who submitted that the tribunal erred by deciding the classification of goods.
The bench agreeing with her arguments referred to judgment rendered by Supreme Court of Pakistan titled K.S. Sulemanji Esmailji while disposing of the SCRA with pending applications. The order passed by the tribunal was sat aside and matter was referred to the departmental classification committee for a decision.
