KARACHI: The hearing of a constitutional petition filed by Messer’s Abdul Rauf & Sons, importer of Steel Wire and Metal Scrap was fixed for 15.5.2025. The petition is filed through Rana Sakhawat Advocate.
As petition came up for hearing before the bench comprising Justice Agha Faisal and Justice Abdul Mobeen Lakho, Sardar Zafar Hussain Advocate filed vakalatnama on behalf of Respondent No 3 and Power of Attorney on behalf of Respondent No 2 along with documents. The bench ordered placing the same on record while directing provision of copies to the counsel for petitioner.
The case pertains to alleged detention of out of charge and custom paid goods by Anti-Smuggling Organization of Pakistan Customs on orders of Chief Collector Enforcement, Islamabad.
The petitioner prays that detention of duty paid consignments may be declared illegal.
