KARACHI: The court work resumed as usual on Tuesday after lawyers across Sindh decided to end their protest over Six Canals issue and observed Tuesday as a day of celebrations.

The decision came at main sit in being staged at Babarloo Bypass, Khairpur as Council of Common Intestest (CCI) which met on Monday with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif in chair decided to shelve the controversial project.

The top moot attended by Chief Minster of all four provinces of Pakistan decided that no more progress will be made unless all the federation units reach a consensus on the issue.

Sarfraz Ali Metlo Advocate and Aamir Warraich Advocate who spear headed the protest sit in announced end of the protest adding that all protest sitin at any place in Sindh province shall came to an end from today. If any sitin continues, lawyers dissociates themselves from such sitin, they announced.

The end of protest lead to opening of traffic between Punjab and Sindh bringing a relief to transporters and their staff who faced hardship during 10 days of continuous road blockade.
