KARACHI: A custom appellate bench of High Court of Sindh allowed a petition filed by Lucky Motor Company challenging retrospective recovery of custom duty in respect of Kia Sportage vehicle while declaring an impugned decision dated 23.12.2024 by Ministry of Industries & Production and letter by Engineering Development Board dated 20.1.2025.
The petitioner also sought a declaration that Petitioners import for the Upgraded Sportage-D vehicles are eligible for concessionary duty under SRO 656 read in the light of Agreement.
The petition was allowed through a short order and detail order will follow soon.
