Karachi: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Government of Pakistan’s Collectorate of Customs Appraisement (West) has announced a redistribution of charges among its officers with immediate effect. The move, aimed at optimizing operational efficiency, was approved by the Collector of Customs Appraisement (West) and is expected to streamline various functions within the department.
The redistribution affects several key officers, including Deputy Collectors and Assistant Collectors, who will now oversee different groups and sections. The changes are as follows:
Ms. Saima Zaib Butt, Deputy Collector, will now handle Group-V (Chapters 71-83) and Group-VI (Chapters 84-85), in addition to her existing responsibilities in MIS-II, HQ-I, Establishment, Confidential, AIB, Administration, PMDU Cell, Refund, Transport, Procurement, Policy & Coordination, Laboratory, and WeBOC roles for printing cheques.
Ms. Saba Ali, Assistant Collector, has been reassigned to oversee AICT, BOML, Bay West, BTHP, and Sky Media (Pvt.) Ltd, including ODT – Examination and Auction duties, moving away from her previous role in Group-VI (Chapters 84-85), Import Section, Statistical Section, PRV, and One Customs.
Ms. Usra Rasool, Assistant Collector, will now manage KICT & West Whaf (Examination & Auction) and Interport movement, shifting from her previous responsibilities in Group-I (Chapters 01-27), Group-VIII (Chapters 90-99), B.G. Cell, Public & Private Bonds, ATL Issues, and Law Section.
Ms. Mahrukh Chohan, Assistant Collector, has been reassigned to Group-I (Chapters 01-27), Group-II (Chapters 28-38), Import Section, Statistical Section, PRV, and ATL Issues, leaving her previous duties at AICT, BTHP, and Sky Media (Pvt.) Ltd, including ODT – Examination and Auction.
Ms. Hafiza Aqsa Aslam, Assistant Collector, will now oversee Group-VIII (Chapters 90-99), B.G. Cell, Public & Private Bonds, One Customs, and Law Section, moving from her previous role at BOML & Bay West (ODT – Examination & Auction).
