QUETTA: In compliance with the directives issued by Faiz Ahmad Chadhar, the Director General of the Directorate General of Customs Intelligence, the Regional Directorate in Quetta executed successful operations resulting in significant seizures. In one operation, a truck transporting smuggled Chinese salt and Betelnut, valued at a total of Rs13.18 million, was intercepted. Legal proceedings have been set in motion in adherence to the law.
Another operation targeted the illegal transportation of cigarettes, rolling paper, and a vehicle, with the combined value of goods and the vehicle amounting to Rs18.8 million. Additionally, a separate seizure involved Betel nut valued at Rs19.5 million.
Further enhancing the crackdown on smuggling activities, the Directorate seized smuggled milk powder, human hair, and tires with a cumulative value of Rs20.1 million.
The total value of the seizures conducted by the Regional Directorate Quetta stands at an impressive Rs78 million. These operations underscore the commitment of Customs Intelligence to curb illicit trade activities and enforce the rule of law in the region.
