GWADAR: Customs Gwadar has expedited the anti-smuggling activities, and seized 14,000 liters of smuggled Irani fuel at Ormara. Value of the seized goods comes to Rs15 million.
Information was passed through Collector Engineer Riaz Ahmed Memon to Assistant Collector Bakht Baryal regarding movement of smuggled fuel.
A team comprising Preventive Officer Najeeb Ullah Rind, Inspector Ghafor and Hawaldars Muhammad Waqar and Mehtab Baloch spotted the suspected Hino truck at Ormara. The vehicle was stopped and checking led to recovery of 14,000 liters of Irani diesel. The goods have been seized and investigations are under way.
Collector Engineer Riaz Ahmed Memon has instructed the field formations to increase vigilance as no leniency will be tolerated.
