MULTAN: Customs Enforcement Multan has made 47 cases of foreign origin POL/HSD oil having quantity of 693,300 liters valuing Rs176.81 million in the first quarter of 2023 in comparison to 11 POL/HSD oil cases during corresponding period of last year involving 84,640 HSD oil liters valuing Rs14.15 million, up 1150%.

Collector Muhammad Tahir has advised the formation to further expedite the anti-smuggling drive. His firm stance against smuggling has earned ire of the smugglers and other shareholders. However, Customs Enforcement Multan despite all pressure is continuing the campaign and almost eliminated fuel smuggling in Multan.

In addition to fuel, Collectorate has also made 336 cases valuing Rs 3009 million in comparison to 249 cases of Rs. 2440 million during the same period of last year that is an increase of 23%. This Collectorate has also seized 96 other Carrier Vehicles of Rs. 633.5 million in comparison to 51 vehicles of Rs. 339.2 million last year that is 87% more.

It may be mentioned here that D.G Khan is no more in the jurisdiction of Customs Multan. Last year, D.G Khan was put under a new collectorate, Customs Enforcement Sargodha.
