KARACHI: Staff of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Karachi with the assistance of other law enforcement agencies successfully intercepted three passenger buses near babar kanta Haroon abad coming from Quetta to Karachi.
DG Faiz Ahmed has advised to launch crackdown on passenger buses from Quetta. Saquif Saeed formed a team led by Deputy Director Inamullah Wazir. Additional Director Nausheen Faisal and Afzal Watto monitored the entire exercise.
These buses were loaded with smuggled foreign origin goods including fabric, ACs, guthka, betel nuts, cigarettes, washing powder and other miscellaneous goods. The value of the sized goods and buses is approximately 77.4 million.
FIR has been lodged in the Custom Court and three persons have been arrested. Investigation is underway to ascertain the main culprits.
