KARACHI: Customs Enforcement Karachi has recovered large quantity of foreign origin prohibited goods from a warehouse in Bolton Market. The recovered goods include cigarettes, sheesha flavor, gutkha and other goods valuing Rs163 million.

Chief Collector Enforcement South Yakoob Mako has advised the ASO formations to expedite anti-smuggling efforts including raids on warehouses in various markets of the city, which are known to be housing smuggled and prohibited goods.

Information was passed through Collector Usman Bajwa regarding presence of smuggled goods in Bolton Market. Subsequently, Deputy Collector Amjad Rajpar formed a team of ASO Staff, which conducted raid on a warehouse at Bolton Market and recovered huge quantity of foreign origin Cigarettes, Sheesha Flavour, Gutka and other goods.

A case is lodged and investigations are underway.
