KARACHI: Due to adoption of HS-2022 version; certain additions, deletions and new creation of PCT Codes have been made in Pakistan Customs Tariff. Therefore, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has updated PCT Code-wise Unit of Measures (UoMs) to accommodate these changes.
The UOMs have been revisited in terms of recommendations of the World Customs Organization (WCO) and international as well as national trading practices to maintain uniformity and to improve collection, comparison and analysis of trade statistics and facilitation trade, based on the Harmonized System.
Two Columns have been created, one for statistical purpose and the other for assessment purpose to meet these objectives.
