KARACHI: Special Judge, Custom, Taxation & Anti-Smuggling Court Muhammad Saad Qureshi admitted an accused Imran S/o Abdul Hakeem to pre-arrest bail against a solvent surety of Rupees 100,000. The accused imported a number of consignments of Red Phosphorus used for making matches.

The accused was booked by Directorate of Intelligence & Investigations (D.I.T) for violation of Section 16, 32-A and 79 of the Customs Act 1969, violation of para 7 of Import Policy Order 2022 and Section3,7, 20 and 21 of the Hazardous Substances Rules 2014 of Sindh.

As per F.I.R accused was asked to produce License at which he produced a License for carrying out trade of chemicals issued by Deputy Comissioner, Khuzdar. The DC Kuzdar denied issuance of such license.

Muhammad Siddique Zia Advocate appearing for the applicant pleading innocence maintained that applicant is being falsely implicated and IO is bent upon arresting the accused for humiliating him.He also submitted that accused is ready to join investigations.

The trial court after hearing the counsel for applicant at length ordered that without touching the merits of the case, accused/applicant is admitted to pre-arrest bail against a solvent surety of Rupees 100,000.

The court later fixed January 05 for confirmation of bail or otherwise with the direction to the applicant/accused to join investigation.
