ISLAMABAD: Renowned lawyer Dr Shahab Imam, head of Dr Shahab Imam La Associates today joined Pakistan Tehreek-Insaaf at a simple ceremony here.
He was welcomed into the party fold by former Ports & Shipping Minister Syed Ali Haider Zaidi presently President of PTI Sindh Chapter and other central leaders of PTI.
Dr Shahab previously was a member of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM). Born in Hyderabad, he served federal government in different capacities. He cleared CSS twice and joined Pakistan Customs and served as Additional Collector (Exports). He sought pre-mature retirement and joined the law fraternity.
In a short span of five years, he earned a good reputation and was known as one of the best lawyers. He remained “Amicus Curiae” in number of cases and assisted High Court of Sindh in most difficult cases.
Dr Imam belongs to an educated family and is known in business community as well. He is a philanthropist and know for assistance to seekers of education.
He will soon become a Barrister after passing Canadian Law Society exam and will be in position to serve the law fraternity in a better manner.
