KARACHI: The Custom Appellate Tribunal Karachi was directed by a bench of High Court of Sindh to decide an appeal filed by M/s Icon International & Co within shortest possible time.

The bench earlier heard Madan Lal and Rana Sakhawat Advocates who said that petitioner will not press the petition if provisional release of goods is allowed.
They said that petitioner is ready to secure entire disputed amount of duty and taxes through Pay Order/bank guarantee.

Farooq Khan Law Officer MIC East, Pakistan Customs did not object to such request after which bench allowing the request ordered department to release goods once disputed amount is secured.
The petition was then disposed of as not pressed.
