5th time, elected KCAA President

He is a respected among Customs agents fraternity,

KARACHI: Mr. Salf Ullah Khan, President of Karachi Custom Agents Association, is nominated as the Honorary Coordinator (Customs Matters) to FTO, Karachi region.

Saif Ullah is highly respected among the Customs agents fraternity and, he is serving his 5th term as the President of KCAA.

The areas of responsibility for the Coordinator (Customs Matters) will include:-

i.              Liaison with local Chambers of Commerce & Industry, trade associations, market association, general trade bodies and other business related organizations with relation to issues pertaining to Customs Clearances; ii.

ii.             Presenting Customs Clearing Agents problems, issues, conflicts and concerns to the respective advisors in FTO office and act proactively for immediate redressal of the same;

iii.            Search for methods to improve efficiency and integrity of the concerned tax machinery;

iv.            Develop and foster relationship of FTO office with the relevant business community, stakeholders and such other entities;

v.             Serve as bridge between private sector and FTO offices;

vi.            Seek recommendations, views and comments from concerned business circles regarding any changes, improvements or updation of the existing tax laws, procedures and policies;

vii.           Act as positive representative of the taxpayers; viii. Any other work as may be assigned by the Honourable Federal Tax Ombudsman from time to time.
