KARACHI: Muhammad Maqsood Alam son of Muhammad Rafi, Proprieotr of Fatima bonded ware house was admitted to bail against a solvent surety of rupees 100000 and Personal Bond in the like amount by Special Judge, Customs, Excise 7 Taxation, Karachi.

The applicant/accused was booked in FIR 11/2022, Port Qasim, Pakistan Customs Central Intelligence Unit (CIU) in case of alleged removal of goods from the ware house without filing EX-Bond GD. As per details, petitioner imported and declared their goods as Cold Rolled  Steel Sheets in Coil which were warehoused. Later an information was received that importer  Royal Steel in connivance with Clearing Agent Trishmir Imports and owners of Fatima were removing goods which in fact are Electrolytic Tine plates of Secondary quality having different PCT and higher value and thus a loss of rupees 2,428,069 was caused to the government in legitimate revenue.

The present accused filed bail application through his counsel Rana Shakawat Ali. The trial court judge after hearing arguments from both sides, admitted the applicant/accused Muhammad Maqsood Alam to bail.
