Islamabad: Pakistan’s national telecom carrier, PTCL Group has signed a contract for strategic partnership with Capital Development Authority, Islamabad, for digitalization of solutions for CDA, Islamabad Administration, Excise & Taxation (Islamabad) and Islamabad Police. This is a step by CDA & ICT Administration objective to digitalize operations by providing citizen centric solutions to ensure efficient services delivery and complaint management in line with Government of Pakistan digital ambition to work towards a digitally progressive and inclusive Pakistan.

The Agreement was signed at Chairman CDA Office in Islamabad by Mr. Zarrar Hasham Khan, Group Chief Business Solutions Officer (PTCL & Ufone) & Mr. Sayed Munawar Shah, Executive Member (Engineering), CDA in presence of Mr. Hatem Bamatraf, President and Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) PTCL and Mr. Amer Ali Ahmed, Chairman CDA & Chief Commissioner ICT. The signing Ceremony was also attended by Deputy Commissioner Mr. Hamza Shafqaat, Mr. Jaffer Khalid (PTCL Group Chief Technology Officer), Mr. Naveed Khalid Butt (PTCL Group Chief Regulatory Officer) and other high officials from both sides.

On the occasion, Hatem Bamatraf, President & Group CEO, PTCL & Ufone, said, “We are glad to collaborate with CDA for improving the quality and efficiency of services delivery to the citizens of Islamabad. The partnership is an extension of PTCL Group’s long term ambition to leverage tech based innovations to enhance capacity at organizational as well as national level to increase our cumulative efficacy and productivity. The innovative interventions now put in place have the potential to optimize official procedures and accelerate services delivery. I am positive that going forward, CDA will be better equipped to facilitate the people of Islamabad as it has been doing for past decades.”

CDA has continuously pursued optimization and modernization of its services infrastructure vis-à-vis the growing population and demand for services in the capital. The digitization of our cross department public services infrastructure, we are ready to provide timely and hassle free facilitation across various departments in the capital in line with our organizational tradition.”

Through this agreement PTCL Group will be initially providing 12 solutions including mobility services, call center setup, video conferencing, cloud services, complaint management system, street lighting & fleet management solutions, etc.
