KARACHI: Pakistan Customs has maintained before High Court of Sindh in a suit filed by M/S Sky World Logistics that 225 Kilograms of Ketamine was recovered by Hong Kong authorities from a consignment of silk fabric and allegedly Ansari Taxtile Mills and their agent S.M. Enterprises colluded to smuggle the contra band.

According to details, Hong Kong authorities got suspicious about a consignment lying at port since many months. They started monitoring and found that request for change of consignee is made to cover up the beneficiary.

The asked the forwarder Sky World Logistics to inform them whenever a request for change of consignee is made. The exporter made a request to change name of consignee to Hong Kong Dingfeng Logistics Stoarage Co Limited. The consignee was tracked and a woman was arrested and the consignment was seized.

The Pakistani authoritie got the information of via social media and later confirmed the facts from media and custom authorities of Hong Kong. The consignment was processed at Port Muhammad Bin Qasim and cleared through Green Channel. The alleged smugglers are supposed to get rupees 2,652,442,750 as illicit money. A contravention was made, show cause was issued and a F.I.R was lodged and customs court has taken cognizance of the alleged act.
