QUETTA: Customs Quetta and FC Baluchistan in a joint operation recovered smuggled goods worth Rs150 million.

FC and staff of Customs at Ziarat Crossing raided a convoy at Muslim Bagh. Checking led to recovery of 136,000 liters of diesel, plastic bags, cigarettes, betel nut, cloth, Chinese salt, tobacco, etc. Around 10 vehicles were also impounded.

It may be mentioned here the check post at Ziarat Crossing was setup this year, and the Customs staff has very effectively controlled flow of smuggled goods on Quetta-Punjab Highway.

Chief collector Muhammad Sadiq, Collector Enforcement Quetta Dr. Fareed Khan, Additional Collector Moin Afzal Ali, Deputy collector Dr. Zohaib Sandela appreciated the work of Superintendent Saleem Agha, Inspectors Ahmed Nawaz Zehri, Bashir Wazir and other staff.
