SHC disposes of petition by 17 importers of Ginger

KARACHI: A petition filed by 17 importers of Ginger filed through Franklin Law Associates was disposed of by a custom appellate bench of High Court Of Sindh.

The bench at the outset of hearing noted that petitioners have already filed  review before Adjudication Collector which is pending a decision.
Manzar Hussain Memon advocate counsel for petitioners sought release of the consignments in the meanwhile.

The bench ordered petitioners be to deposit undisputed amount of duty and taxes with the department and disputed amount with Nazir of SHC who shall invest the same in a profitable scheme.

The fate of amount of disputed duty and taxes shall be subject to out come of the Adjudication, the bench ordered while disposing of the petition.
