KARACHI: Passing another order Director General Trade Organisations (DGTO) on Tuesday allowed. All Pakistan Customs Agents Association (APCAA) to hold elections under revised schedule subject to fulfillment of certain directions.
Apparently oblivious of order passed yesterday (Monday Sept 20) in complaint filed by Wasiq Hussain, a custom agent , DGTO today passed another order after the Trade Organisation APCAA filed a compliance report.
DGTO observed that directions given in order dated 31-8-2021have not been complied with, the members were not allowed to file objections on nomination papers.
DGTO Regulator of TOs gave detailed directions to APCAA and fixed Sept 30 for elections to Executive body and announcement of results which means elections will no held tomorrow as planned by APCAA.
Earlier in the morning SHC bench restrained APCAA from holding elections till Oct 05, the next date of hearing in a😃suit filed by Wasiq Hussain
Mean while Sharjeel Jamal, a custom agent and active member of APCAA in a phamplet held the members who went into complaints and litigation before courts as doing dis- service to the APCAA.
The Association was dragged to court just to waste time for gaining personal benefits, he said alleging that APCAA was made sub-serviant to KCCI and FPCCI.
Not a single issue facing custom agents was solved by these people who are obstructing elections, said Sharjeel Jamal asking the member to remain united and defeat elements attempting to weaken APCAA.
