Customs Gwadar seizes smuggled goods

QUETTA: Customs Gwadar foiled smuggling attempt and seized large quantity of foreign origin goods at Panjgore, worth millions of rupees.

The seized goods include 15,000 Irani fuel, foreign origin edible oil, while transporting vehicles were also seized.

An official said since the new Collector Javed Chaudry assumed charge, the anti-smuggling activities have been expedited, and Customs staff was conducting most of the operations on its own.

Collector Javed Chaudry appreciated the efforts of Deputy Collector Maqbool Baloch, Superintendent Asif Zaman, Inspectors Najeebullah, Habib Buzdar, Rahat Aijaz, Yasir Aziz and others.

Government of Pakistan and Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is pursuing a rigorous anti-smuggling campaign, and Member Customs Tariq Huda is monitoring the entire drive.
