PESHAWAR: The staff of Customs Mobile Squad, Peshawar has recovered 03 live Falcons from a passenger bus coming from Quetta towards Peshawar.

Information was passed through Collector Kamran Khan Rajar to Additional Collector Khiyal Muhammad regarding transportation of precious birds. Subsequently, Assistant Collector Raja Bilal formed a team comprising Superintendent Mujahid Khan and Inspector Nasir Ali to recover the live birds.

The recovered birds include two Shaheen Falcons having 30 cm chest and one Kestral Falcon having 08 cm chest. Approximate market value of the Falcons is estimated as Rs 01 million.

All the three live Falcons were immediately handed over to Naveed Ahmed, Sub-divisional Wildlife Officer as per law against proper documentation bearing his signature and office seal.
