KARACHI: Transfers and postings of senior Pakistan Customs Service (PCS) officers, whom were recently promoted, is anticipated in the coming week
Sources said several officers were promoted recently, but they were not given new offices instead their existing posts were upgraded. However, these officers are likely to be reshuffled shortly.
Abdul Rasheed Shaikh was promoted from BS21 to BS-22, but he is still holding the office of Director General Customs Intelligence and Investigation. Similarly Seema Bukhari and Shahnaz Maqbool, whom have been promoted to BS-21, have joined back Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). They were out of the FBR.
Iqbal Bhawana Collector Adjudication Karachi is promoted to BS-21, Nayyar Shafique Additional Collector Airport Lahore is promoted to BS-20. Farrukh Sajjad Additional Collector PCA Karachi is also promoted to BS-20. These officers will be posted to new offices.
Other promoted officers including Wajid Ali, Sanaullah Abro, Muhammad Tahir, Yousuf Haider, Muhamad Ismail, Mian Masood, Nyma Batool, are already on posts under OPS.
Member Custom Tariq Huda wanted across the board reshuffling, but Chairman FBR only allowed adjustments ion certain seats and stayed large-scale transfers and postings.
