KARACHI: In order to streamline the examination of imported consignments and to prevent the chances of revenue leakage, MCC Appraisement East has notified that the following goods will be examined under the supervision of the concerned Deputy/Assistant Collector:
I. Miscellaneous Items
II. Secondary Quality Stainless Steel 200, 300, and 400 Series
III. Old and Used Auto Parts
IV. Old and Used Computers, Printers
V. Old and Used Photocopiers, Fax Machines
VI. Old and Used Medical Equipment
VII. Old and Used Machinery
VIII. Re-Rollable and Re-Meltable Scrap
IX. Metal Bundle Scrap
X. Waste Paper Scrap
XI. Old Newspaper Scrap
XII. Plastic Scrap
XIII. Iron and Steel Scrap (Trimming Wire Scrap / Shredded Scrap/ Wire Rope Scrap)
XIV. Compressor Scrap
XV. Ballast Scrap
XVI. Bhangar Scrap
XVII. Tyre Scrap
XVIII. Aluminum and Lead Scrap
At present, the WeBOC system does not have the mechanism to identify and automatically mark such consignments to DC/AC examination for approval of examination report.
Therefore, Examining Officers will forward all such consignments to the concerned Deputy/Assistant Collector examination.
Examination of all kinds of scrap to be done under Deputy/Assistant Collector supervision
