Custom Dera seizes smuggled goods worth Rs45 million

LAHORE: Custom authorities Dera foiled an attempt to smuggle large quantity of betel nut and Chinese salt.

Information was received through Superintendent Custom Dera Syed Nasir Burki, In-charge ASO Dera Inspector Shahzad Ahmed along with Jalil Khan, Noor Zaman and Aijaz Khan intercepted a Hino Truck coming from Baluchistan.

The checking of the vehicle led to recovery of 12.7 tons of betel nut, 1.6 tons Chinese salt, which were being smuggled to Lahore.

The value of the seized gods along with transporting vehicle is Rs45 million.
