QUETTA: MCC Preventive Quetta has seized large quantity of goods worth Rs350 million from Shernab area of Lakpas.

Upon directions of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and Chief Collector (Balochistan) Gul Rehman to intensify the anti-smuggling drive, Customs staff led by Collector Irfan Javed and his team comprising  Additional Collector Yaseer Wahab Kalwar, Deputy Collector Akbar Jan, Superintendent Tariq Sultan, Inspectors Gul Sheer Zahri and Hashim with the assistance of Frontier Corps Balochistan seized smuggled goods from a compound at Sherinab area of Lakpass.

The recovered goods include Betel nuts, Almond, Cloth, Chinese salt, Tyres, other goods i.e electronic items, crockery; seven transporting vehicles. Further legal proceedings are underway.

In order to completely eradicate movement of smuggled goods, Customs Quetta has increased staff at various check posts while intelligence network is further strengthened.
