KARACHI: MCC Preventive Karachi in a letter to Deputy Commissioner (west) Karachi, informed that 70 acres of Federal Board of Revenue (Federal Government land) situated besides the purported Advocate General Society on Maurypur Road is currently under encroachment by illegal land grabbers.
It may be mentioned here Anwar Iqbal, member of Vigilance Committee FBR Lands in Sindh, had identified this encroachment of government land.
This land is part of Sector – B of Land Customs Estate Maurypur, measuring 2720.38 acres, which was resumed by approval of the then Governor General in Council from the limits of Karachi Port Trust.
MCC Preventive advised Deputy Commissioner Karachi West to take immediate action to remove encroachments and stop further encroachments from the abovementioned land of Federal Government besides appropriate legal action against the encroaching elements.
