Deputy Director Muhammad Zohaib recommended for Certificate of Appreciation

QUETTA: Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation (Customs), Quetta recommends the name of Deputy Director Mr. Muhammad Zohaib, for the award of certificate in recognition of his services in the fields including anti-smuggling.

Not only he made several cases by seizing contrabands but also detected import related misappropriations in which bogus coverage of import documents was being given to make the inland movement of smuggled and non-duty-paid goods in the garb of genuinely imported goods.

Muhammad Zohaib made seizures of goods/vehicles valuing Rs1.275 billion as compared to seizures of goods/vehicles valuing Rs515.46 million of FY2019-20

Since the geographical jurisdiction of the Directorate is very vast, Muhammad Zohaib and his teams had to work beyond the call of duty hours.

Such successful operations in fact did help establish the writ of government in the areas of Balochistan where the law and order situation is very challenging.

Muhammad Zohaib’s contribution towards the performance of the Directorate is not confined to anti-smuggling only. He was assigned several other responsibilities such as management of state warehouse, streamlining and maintaining sensitive records, handling of auction proceedings etc.
