QUETTA: MCC Preventive Noshki has seized 10 tons of smuggled betel nut worth Rs25 million and lodged an FIR against unidentified accused.

Information was passed through Chief Collector Gul Rehman to Collector Preventive Quetta Irfan Javed and
Additional Collector Yasir Kalwar to Deputy Collector Amjad Rajper that attempts would be made to smuggle betel nut into the country.

The Customs team led by and communicated to Superintendent Noshki Saleem Mandokhail and Inspector ali Ahmed Lehri conducted a raid at Noshki border area north of Siah Koh and found large quantity of dumped betel nut for further transportation to Quetta.

An FIR is lodged and investigations are underway.
