KARACHI: Anwer Iqbal, Member of Vigilance Committee for FBR’s Lands in Sindh, met with Federal Minister of Finance and Revenue Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh and apprised him about the Customs land under illegal occupation and the role Vigilance Committee was playing in vacating these lands and the problems they were facing.
Shaikh advised Anwer Iqbal to continue playing a role in getting the Customs land vacated and directed him to seek help from any institution or law enforcement agency in this regard. Shaikh also empowered the Vigilance Committee to approach Supreme Court.
Anwer Iqbal was adviced to keep in contact with Member Customs Tariq Huda and directives were issued to Tariq Huda in this regard.
It was also decided in the meeting that a monthly report was to be sent to Hafeez Shaikh.
