KARACHI: The officials of Model Customs Collectorate (MCC), East were put on notice in a constitution petition filed by M/s Chem Mark, importer of Unsaturated Polyester Resin Counter Top Sheets.
Rana Sakhawat Ali appearing for the petitioner company maintained that the consignment was held due to a dispute over valuation and the matter is now sub-judice before Collector of Custom (Appeals). The petitioner applied for provisional release but no decision was taken as yet.
The bench after hearing ordered the issuance of notices to the respondents after two weeks and also ordered that in the meanwhile they should consider the application of the petitioner for provisional release.
